Exhibition at Leighton House Museum

For over 10 years Lavender Hill Studios has trained artists in the rigours of drawing and painting, taking inspiration from the classical techniques of the European Masters.  Over this time a unique community of talented artists has coalesced around the Studios in Battersea.  We are delighted to feature the work of many of these artists in the forthcoming exhibition:

The Craft of Drawing and Painting.  Celebrating Tradition Today.

From 1 September – 4 October, Leighton House Museum brings together the work of over 40 artists working within the figurative tradition, all of whom have at some time trained at Lavender Hill Studios.  The collection is accompanied by detailed explanations and video footage documenting the artist’s process.  There will also be a varied programme of events.

For further information please visit Leighton House Museum website.

We are grateful to Leighton House Museum and Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea as well as event sponsors Strutt & Parker.
